Charlotte.Black. is an unfiltered space where poetry, stories, and the universe align. It is a collection of true stories and moments in my life, which are both filled with pain & light.

I have been a writer for over 20 years and have taught for 10 years in public education in the United States (hence the anonymity). On paper, it may appear like I have had a pretty normal life, but my life has been far from that. I have had to overcome a series of problems – physical and mental, and have experienced trauma when I witnessed the death of someone who I cherished.

Yet, with tragedy and pain, there is always growth and light at the opposite end waiting for you. You just have to have the strength and courage to look at it. Miracles do exist. I am living proof of it, and this is the true motivation for me to be here writing, for if anything that I experienced could be of use to someone, I feel that it’s my obligation to share it.

I hope that whoever needs this — finds it — and realizes, “Hey, you’re not alone.”
